Hi I'm a junior in a medium sized public high school (slightly competitive). I was wondering what my chances are for the following schools:
1) Stanford
2) Harvard
3) UCB
4) Columbia
5) Brown
6) UCSD
They are all reach schools of course but I just wanted to get a general sense of how im doing so far...

UC Berkeley (in state): Safe Match
UCSD (in state): Safe Match-Safety
Harvard: Slight Reach
Stanford: Slight Reach
Columbia: Match-Slight Reach
Brown: Match

I honestly think you got a great shot at all of these schools. Your stats are excellent. Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia are rarely a match for anyone, as they are so unpredictable, even for stats such as yours. In state, top UC's (UC Berkeley, UCSD) should be no problem. I think you got a great shot of getting into at least one of harvard, stanford, columbia. Brown looks to be a match. These are all excellent schools. Best of luck!

I wouldn't say that Brown is a total match. They have some fickle admissions and it's hard to predict who they'll let in. Even people who have been accepted into Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford have been flatout rejected by Brown.
