I'm going to try to make this as short as i can...
First of all, my scores consist of ones I've already attained and a few ones of which i'm sure i will get.

I'm hoping to be able to attend Stanford. Yes, I know this is an amazing top school and is pretty much a reach for everybody, but I'd really appreciate it if you could help me make it more of a possibility, so any suggestions you have feel free to tell me. So about me...

Finally, i will be needing some aid when i apply...

I also might apply to UCLA, NYU, Yale, or Columbia.

Chance me?
(and please if you would like to comment on anything, go right ahead; I'm all ears.)

You certainly look like a very strong applicant. However, despite your extensive ECs which would look quite amazing in comparison to other applicants at regular universities, Stanford is far from average. You don’t have anything that is particularly standout, which will lower your chances. However, don’t be discouraged from applying and try your best to present a cogent, focused representation of yourself. you have a chance at all of those schools.

Stanford - reach
UCLA - low match
NYU - low match
Yale - reach
Columbia - reach

Apply to the other UCs as well for a safety or two. How much financial aid do you need?

Thank you so much for replying, i really appreciate it. THANK YOU.

I won’t be needing much aid, just some. (in other words, as much as i can get. If none, thats also fine.)

What can you suggest that would help me stand out? (i managed to raise alot of money for a charity i organized that helps Syrian refugees, but i can’t think of anything else to do.)

And lastly, (sorry if it’s a long reply, but…) what other schools do you think i should apply to? Truthfully, I’d like to attend an amazing university with great faculties and services because if a university isn’t good enough, my family might likely say its a waste of time and would try to keep me in my current country and persuade me to not go back to the states. (by the way, i think all universities are amazing one way or the other, just that some consist of better faculties than others and can help grow my abilities more)

Woah Woah Woah, if you played for Jordan’s national (basketball?) team you should be easily able to walk on as an athlete at any of those schools in which case you’d be in at all if you’re good enough. If you can’t walk on then:

This is random, but i can’t believe i forgot to say this, im a girl. and thanks for replying.

Yeah i did and still do but it’s not the official jordans major leagues but a minor league for girls ages 16-18, its sponsered by a large company and we pretty much are the top in our country for our age group and we play against outside international countries.

I’d love to play college basketball but i really doubt i’ll be getting a scholarship or simply getting in just because i play. I’m pretty sure im going to try out for the team anyway but if i do manage to get in, i don’t think it’ll be because im an athlete since i don’t live in the states and its impossible to get scouts coming to see me in my country AT ALL and because these schools are great and i believe athletes much better than me would be applying to get in as athletes.

Your resume is very good!!! You have awesome EC’s and have taken challenging courses while getting good grades in them! I’d say you are a match for stanford! Wish you good luck bro!

with a 1900 in SAT, really good school transcripts, and an extremely good art portfolio, how far can I go as far as universties in the US are concerned?
