Sorry to say but there is no way you will get in. If you look at some of these threads, you'll see your competitors who are doing way better than you. Another thing that is working against you is the fact that you are asian. There are so many asians applying to stanford that you will barely be noticed. That is what I think. You'll have way better luck at UCSD or NYU. I heard they don't care about ethnicity, only grades. But then again, Stanford does always surprise people. I wish you luck on your application and hope whatever is in your destiny to make you happy!

^^ Woah! First, unless you are an adcom at Stanford then you have no way of knowing 100% what her admission decision will be. Second, and to the OP, who knows. From everything I've read here, you're in the game. Sorry to say that I agree w/the above post in regards to your being Asian, which will not help your chances (although I hestitate to say it will hurt them). It seems like you're very "passionate" about music, and success at a national (and/or international) level is great. From what I've read, it seems Stanford is more difficult to predict than the other schools of its caliber because it focuses on a lot of "untangibles" in the essays. But like I said, it appears that you're in the game. In the accepted pile I can't say. Hope this helped.

I might not be an adcom at Stanford and I never said I was 100 percent sure she WONT be accepted. I just said there is no way she will get in COMPARED to these other threads. I also said and I quote myself,
"But then again, Stanford does always surprise people. I wish you luck on your application and hope whatever is in your destiny to make you happy!"
Other people are way before her. And since they reject so many people there is a chance she will get rejected. She should try to raise her grades up.

Don't worry, you're actually a pretty competitive applicant. Remember that Stanford cares a lot about one's character qualities and intangibles, so make sure that your essays are good. Good luck.

Yeah Anon you added that in an edit like 20 minutes after the original post...

Why do you care so much? I am just curious. Get off my A** PLEASE! So what if she can't get in. Let me take a look at ur stats and see how things go for you. You need to stop bugging individuals about their posts. Thank u rock and roll dude.

888ANONYMOUS888: can you be any ruder? You can either be a pompous acceptee(which would makes me supprise on Stanford decision to accept you), or a bitter reject who is trying to destroy others' hope.
To starrgirl: Don't be down, you're definitely in the game. Your music commitment is great, remember to send them some of your CDs(If you can impress them with that, then it's very likely that you get accepted). Your Academic record is not stellar, but it's in the range. If you think you can improve your Bio score, then retake it. M2II shouldn't be less than 730.
Also apply to Berkeley, in case you get accepted by Stanford and don't like them. Haha, I don't know what I'm talking.

thanks for all your feedback (positive and negative..it's all good) =) i know that my grades aren't as strong as a lot of the kids who are applying SCEA but all i can really do now is focus on writing some damn good essays...thanks everyone

I'm going to Stanford next year and I just wanted to see how people are doing this year. I see you are keeping up the good work when it comes to insulting other people. Congrats! Perhaps some of you can put Professional CC Jerk on your college resume. Starrgirl, you have some impressive accomplishments. Whether or not you are accepted to Stanford depends on the personal preference of the admissions officers. In retrospect, I learned a lot from going to this website, but it made me VASTLY too paranoid about admissions. I put too much stock in the pathetic "ohh, 1550, that sucks, I'm sorry" line of thinking and became far too obsessed with going to Stanford. Don't listen to what people say. Including me.
