If you could get your SAT up a little higher that would really help you. Also I suggest to really do well the first semester (like try to get as many As as possible) then NYU Stem would be fairly feasible for you. I would suggest taking SAT IIs to help improve your application and further demonstrate your STEM abilities.

@Humanities17 Yeah I took the Math 2 subject test, and think I did fairly well. As for the SAT, I have October to get my writing score up, but otherwise thats the best I can do.
I think you have a decent shot. However, you have weaknesses. Your ECs don’t seem very unique and your SAT could be a bit higher. Your GPA is a little on the low side too. I think you should retake standardized tests if you can. Also look at other Undergrad business schools like UMich.

@outlooker Yeah my EC’s are average probably but I have a few good ones including an internship and I have won many awards in italian competitions. I also have a 800 on math 2 SAT. I may retake the regular SAT, but it would have to be in October. Should I be worried that my writing is low? I am under the impression that most schools don’t value it. My other scores are probably about average for Stern, but writing is obviously much lower…
You’re a Mid reach for stern- I’m in almost the same position. I’d say go apply regular for Econ and then try to transfer in. Your GPA and SAT are kinda low, and the ECs don’t seem unique, just from what you’ve written. Crush first semester, don’t apply ED, and apply to CAS as well, is my advice.
@twinshk2 Im just hoping they don’t care about writing because I feel thats my weakness. I think my GPA is just about average though if you look on the website.
You’re at the median I mean, not mean. But your GPA is way higher than mine lol. Actually scratch that, you’re white. I think you have a fair shot, at least based on stats. Your GPA is just a little lower, and SAT just a little higher, so I’d say match-high match.
You have solid chances. Make sure to get all A’s 1st semester of senior year too.
I’d say you have a decent chance. I would recommend trying to raise your sat scores slightly. Also you could improve your EC’s by doing something that really makes you stand out. Overall decent chance, but not a gurentee.
