Chances for Stern :)

Hey all, I've been reading these boards for some time now, and since I'm not doing anything right now, I decided to see how you guys think I stack up.

So I'm applying RD for Fall 2010. Here are some details:

GPA: 4.34, 3.8'ish (W,UW)
SAT I:
Math - 640
CR - 710
Writing - 780

SAT II:
Lit - 730
Math II - 660

Class rank: 36/380

Some EC:
4 years of High School Lacrosse
DECA Competition - 1st place regional for Financial Analysis
Model UN - 2 years
About 200 volunteer hours between the local hospital and library
Physics Olympics

AP's:
English Language - 5
U.S. History - 3
Calc AB
American Gov.
Biology II
English Lit.

Hooks: I'm Asian (Parents immigrated from India) and I'm a first generation college attendee in the U.S.

Side notes: I was also suspended for a day during Junior year for a cheating incident in which I took a U.S. History test but got caught taking the test out of the class to give to friends of a later period. My explanation essay was pretty good on the CommonApp.

I think that what will keep me out is my math score on the standardized tests and the suspension, so I'm thinking of NYU as a semi-plausible reach. But let me know what you guys think.

Yes, I agree Math is low :(

Yeah that suspension won’t help you for sure. GPA I’d say is like their mean GPA but other than DECA and maybe MUN, you don’t have much showing a passion for business.
Also, as a senior you haven’t taken that many AP tests or anything.
Who knows, maybe they’ll accept a fellow Indian brother…
