I have a 1160 SAT (M & CR) and I have very storng leadership roles.</p>

<p>Is it harder to get into the SOM? If so, should I apply after (if I get accepted) the first year.</p>
<p>Everything hinges on your school record as well as your sat's. Those (sat's) by the way, need to come up some.</p>

<p>update: i rased my sat score to 1330 and got into nyu and was waitlisted at harvard and columbia</p>
