Chances for TAMU as second degree seeking student

Hi all,

I have my B.A. in psychology as well as a year of doctoral education in psychology from a Texas university with a good reputation. My undergrad GPA was 3.85 and I took a good deal of science and math courses because I began as a chemistry major. I also have had a good deal of research involvement in psychology as well as a variety of volunteer experiences.

I have decided for numerous reasons to change career tracks to agronomy, so I am hoping to gain admission the TAMU’s plant and environmental soil sciences B.S. program in Spring 2019. I decided not to apply for the M.S. program because I do not think I have enough of a background in ag or biology to transition straight to the graduate level or to pick a specialty/research area for this course of study. I’m afraid I will be looked over because priority is given to initial degree applicants. WAMC?
