LaxAttack09,did u do any jobs during summers?is it easy to find an alum who can help u a lot?

I've gotten interviews through bruindirect for jobs for the coming summer. It's not easy but if you want those top level jobs it's the only way you're going to get a look from these banks/firms. All the available alum are located @ bruindirect, check it out.

in which grade r u now?or have u already graduated?in which grade should I start looking for alum?

I'm a Jr but you should start looking for summer internships as soon as possible. My big drawback was I didn't have financial experience before this year, which hurt me. I would work for free in my first two summers, you don't need the pay, you just need the experience. Go to wallstreetoasis dot com and you can find out much more about this. What you need to know is that networking is the best way to get your foot in the door.

yea thanks,i gonna browse that site.as I see double major is not that much needed.bizecon should be enough.is it welcomed in big banks/firms if someone can speak 3-4 different languages?does it give an advantage?

no....what don't you get? NETWORK! Forget about your major, double major, language w/e. You really shouldn't have any more questions. Good grades + network...it's not that hard to understand.

yea.understand:))thanks...

If you don't mind me asking, Lax, what top level firm did you get an internship at?

I didn't get an internship at any "top" level bank, but rather managed to snag interviews at 2 BB investment banks through networking. Something I surely could not have done on UCLA's name alone. Rather not name the particula rbanks
