Hi guys :) I'm really hoping you could help me out and chance me :)
The thing is, I'm a permanent resident, but have lived outside the USA my whole life. My SATs are a biit low :D - CR 640, M 790, W 800 (essay - 10), overall 2230. I got 111 (out of 120) on my TOEFL and 800 on Maths Level 2 and 740 on Biology M.
My school does not rank, but my GPA is 5.85 out of 6.00.
I've won couple of national awards including a first place in national competition in Mathematical Linguistics and I'm a Red Cross Youth Volunteer.
So I was wondering, do I have a chance for the Ivies (Dartmouth, Princeton, Harvard) or is that CR score way too low for these schools? :)

If you do the SAT again, and get the score up, you may have a chance.
You don’t really have an standout ECs, so you need to work on that…

The thing is, I don’t have time to take it again.
Well, haha, these aren’t all my ECs I’ve been the student newspaper editor, participated in Math, Computer Science and Astronomy clubs, part of the extended national team of my country for international olympiads in linguistics, won places in national competitions in English language, organized by Cambridge and so on
Thanks for the answer :)

Edit: Oh, and my sister graduated Duke with summa cum laude - so do you think I have a chance at least at Duke? :/

Where do you live? Have you studied at English speaking schools?

I live in Bulgaria and no, my school isn’t English speaking :)

Your scores are only one part of your application. If other parts of your applications such as your grades, essays, recomendations, and EC’s stand out, you will probably have some chances for the Ivies.

you need to specialize
