Hi guys im new to this site. Well i just want to know my chances to get into a few colleges. i live in new york.
My scores are low for SAT... im taking it in october, so far in practice tests its all 1400s... horrible i know, probably the worst in this site. lol all these ppl are.. all 1800+. but yea.im getting around a 500 in math, 500 writing, and like 400s in reading. so lets say. i get around a 1400-1500 SAT all together, what colleges can accept me.
OK now for high school im ofc a senior. i have a total average of 85-86.
I volunteered at my church, in the summer taught little kids math and reading.
Im also taking college now criminal justice. and i have a lot of honors classes, and took physics also, so all my classes are great. just SAT is low. so. Chance me, and please i geuss be honest i would appreciate it a lot :)

those are the ones i can help you with, hope it helps!

Yeah i think you have a shot for it, for sure. I was going to transfer to hunter, but taking the LIRR back and forth and the subway would of be a huge amount of money that i didnt have.

Well it depends, what are you going for? I mean it does have a big transfer rate, or so i’ve heard. Its big on dental hygenie, nursing and aviation since those are the programs its known for. The classes are good, a big variety, you sometimes need to fight for your classes. Since the advisors sometimes can suggest classes that you maynot need to take which is what happened to me. The only downfall sometimes is that some of the people can be unsocial. The majority of people are commuters, so they go to class, leave and don’t really talk to anyone. But if you are a social person, join a club, and open up and introduce and meet people you will be absolutely fine. If you make an effort you are going to love it. Its college its what you make of it, so as longg as you make an effort you will be absolutely fine. Plus it is very cheap, compared to the majority of schools out there, its $6,350 for the year. This includes fees and all. It is for fulltime credits which is 12 i believe so if you go over that you don’t have to pay extra like many other colleges that is a huge benefit too! Like i take 16-19 credits and still only pay $6,350 a year

Quite honestly, CUNY schools are actually harder with low SATs than SUNYs. You miight get in at John Jay. Have you thought about the Staten Island CUNY. I don’t think you will get into New Paltz but probably the other SUNYs. Don’t know about the privates.
