Chances for this student

Hello, I was wondering my chances

3.452/4 (yah i know not to high, but a good upward trend)
23 semesters of AP and Honors classes (hardest courseload of any student in my school)

ACT 31 (i will use this to turn in), and will retake the test, trying to get a 33 or higher

also for subject tests
740 chemistry
710 math 2c
680 ushistory

Some of EC’s
Religious Education Class, Catholic Youth Leader. (lots of volunteer hours)
Model United Nations, State Security Council
Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair 2nd place in chemistry and 1st place in sustainablity for large research project
Presidential Volunteer Service Award Medal
Voice and Guitar Lessons for 4 years.
Math Club

I didnt include all the EC’s because im guessing you would want to read through all of it, but i was hoping that you would chance me, and maybe even suggest colleges that i may apply to in the boston area.

I know my gpa is highest, and that is mostly due to freshman year, whereas every semester after that has been a constant 3.67 to bring it up.

So please chance me, i will be grateful :)

also any suggestion on what college to appy to?
im looking to do biology or biochem, so im thinking CGS

23 semesters?? You must mean 23 semester-courses.
You ought to be a match for BU. Why CGS? Isn't that for the less-prepared students?

well i can list all Honors and APs here
and sorry its 24 semesters
but just look at the classes lol

also AP tests
4- AP US
4-AP Chem

With an ACT of 31 you will be admitted into CAS. Your GPA is low but as you say it has an upward trend.

24 semesters? 24 semesters would imply that you have taken 12 full year equivalent AP courses...is that true? It doesn't read that way from your list. It looks like you've taken 5 AP courses (they are full year), and also the Chem exam (equivalent of a full year, as that is what the exam predicates) and US History (again one year) for a total of 7 AP tests. Is that accurate? Then you took 7 honors courses (it looks like English is only 1 semester...how is that...most colleges require 4 full years of English study).

BU does require 4 full years of English in High School. They also have a foreign language requirement (require three years, recommend 4). Did you just list your honors and AP courses? If so, why are the "other semesters" of English your Jr and Sr years not honors?

Which of your multitude of ECs did you have a commitment to? You have quite the "laundry list" of ECs but nothing that shows a particular commitment or passion for any one thing. It's like you tried it all at least for a while. I would try to emphasize the important ECs as opposed to providing a lengthy list (there won't be that many lines on the application anyway so prioritize now). Your ACT looks fine to me, but I'm not an adcom...just parent of a grad. If you aren't admitted to CAS, it seems to me you would be admitted to CGS as long as BU deems that you have met their minimum high school requirements.

well actually i just gave a list purely of honors and AP's
but i can add-on to that for you also

as to a quick look
