chances for top boarding schools (Andover, Exeter, Choate)

I am applying for Andover, Exeter, Choate, and Cushing (safety) for 9th grades.
I am 100% sure that I will be accepted at Cushing.
I want to go to a very good boarding school for high school. I am currently studying in a full IB school in Thailand. My grades from grade 6 and 7 were quite bad (5.0-5.7 average, or equivalent to B-). I just received my mid term grade and got a 5.5 average. I got a 7 for Music, some 5s and 6s and 2 4s. The IB scale is 1-7
I speak fluent English, Thai, and almost fluent in Chinese.
I am in the student council (8th grade)
I play violin, electric guitar, and drums.
8 years basketball, soccer, and tennis.
I will be taking the SSAT in December and TOEFL in November. not sure if my SSAT is going to be good.
If I get good scores on the SSAT and TOEFL, will I have a better chance? (my grades aren't good)

I’d like to know if i have chances for Choate, Andover, and Exeter. By the way, i’m in 8th grade and in MYP (middle years programme of the IB). My recs are going to be good. I will work very hard on my essay.

imymemine, your confidence(about cushing) is impressive and as a tri-lingual(i’m not sure if there is this word) international student, your really can stand out from tons of competitive candidates. however, the IB grades may hurt you a little bit. fortunately, a great–very high standardized test score can prove your academic capacityand make the general grade up. in addition , i want to give a well-meaning reminder that the application of these top school is filled with unknown: if you fail this time, just take it easy.

your confidence is quite admirable, but can you prove that what you say is true? thats how you gotta persuade the schools.

thanks for replying. I’'m quite confident about Cushing because many of my relatives went there and I went there for summer school. They accept some people who don’t speak english (weird). I also went there for summer school. Also, my teachers told me that I’m lucky to be in an IB school. Does being in IB improve my chances?

hey what school are you from
