Chances for top boarding schools? :)

I know I didn't specify which boarding schools in the title.. To be honest, I am not quite sure which exact ones I'm hoping to get into, however I guess my top three would be (based on my "research"):
1. Choate
2. Exeter
3. Deerfield

Okay.. here goes XD
I'm in the 9th grade and I'm applying for 11th grade (2012-2013). I know it's harder to get in as a junior or senior, but it's really not my choice since I move every 2~3 years (because of my dad's job). I'm Korean but I am not "controlled" by my parents (unlike some-not all- Korean kids I know). My parents never sent me to after school classes or got me tutors. They pretty much let me make my own decisions since I was six (with parental guidance of course...)

Languages spoken: Korean, English, Spanish (all fluent)

Instruments: Alto Saxophone (4 years), Piano (9 years), Cello (1 year)

Grades this year (my report card only had letter grades, no score.. sorry D:)
Theater Productions: A
Spanish 4: A
PE: A
Instrumental Band: A+
Geometry: A
World History: A+
Intro to Biology: A
English 9: A+

For my past years in Middle School, I've got mostly grades in the A-~A+ range.. I think I've had one B+ in 7th grade :(

Hmm... Some other things:
- AMIS Honor Band 2009-2010
- High honors every year since Middle School (I don't think we had honors in Elementary.. XD)
- Was leader of a non-profit organization that helped collect money to build wells in India and Africa
- Math League
- Tae Kwon Do for a year (Don't know how to say it in English, but I have the belt right before the black one)

Things I struggle with:
- Sports. I'm not particularly bad at them- it's just that I sometimes tend to not participate much. I don't think I have much of a "competitive streak" nor do I, personally, find much point in them. Sure, I like watching sports and playing soccer or biking on the weekend is fun, but when it comes to gym class, I just let the other kids do the work (I'm being honest ^^).

"Expressing myself". By this, I mean the fact that at my school, everyone has the impression that I'm the "quiet Korean girl who gets good grades". It's a laughable stereotype and I'm trying to break that impression. At a young age, my parents always taught me to be "respectful" of others, so that's why I'm a bit quiet and awkward around some people (but the opposite in front of my friends). However, I'm trying really hard to be myself :)

My passions!
- MUSIC! I really cannot live without music- I love playing the piano and saxophone. On occasion I've composed a few songs for fun.. Whichever BS I go to, I'm definitely taking up Jazz/Music/Both class(es).

Techonology/Graphics: Absolutely love the computer. I especially adore making videos, designing layouts, and... of course....

Photography/Art: Art was something I've not had a chance to do since the 7th grade, but I love coloring/painting/drawing, especially on the computer. I'm working hard on making 3d movies.. hopefully they'll work :)

Community Service: As cheesy as this might sound, I love helping people in need. Or animals. Or places. Hahaha :) I'm up for any sort of help (working in homeless kitchens, delivering furniture to the elderly, blood donations, reading to 4~5 year olds, helping out at school, or helping teenage moms).

Well. I think I've rambled on enough about myself for today :) I really hope I haven't bored any of you guys. Any sort of advice would be GREATLY appreciated, as I am entirely inexperienced when it comes to boarding schools.
Thanks so much guys, have a great day!! :)

Hugs,
Hannahxx

P.S. sorry for the excessive use of smilies.. I do that sometimes :D

Definitely try to get into Choate! You should have pretty good chances. Try to create a CD for your music talent and also for your digital art. Write good essays (your essays should not bore the admissions officer). Make sure you do an on campus visit/interview and ask a lot about the school even you think you know about everything.

Good luck =)

Ah, here I go again…
You are well-rounded, and you have great stats… like every other CCer
However I am in no position in chancing you… like every other CCer

I can wish you luck though!
