My Major:
Chem Eng

My Stats:
GPA:
3.1 UW--- 3.4 W
Frosh: (C in honors bio and geometry)
Soph: (C in spanish 2 and PST)
JUNIOR YEAR: 3.7 UW--- 4.0+ W
I took 6 honors and 1 AP (Chem) from freshman to junior year.
I will be taking an additional 3 AP's (Pol & Gov, Environmental, Lit) and 2 honors classes (Calc & Physics) senior year.

I had a rough start freshman and sophomore year with a 2.9 UW and a 3.2 W. I improved significantly junior year, though I am afraid it is too little too late. I also am worried because in those 2 years some of my bad grades were in math and science classes. They were honors classes, but I just was not on top of my game.

SAT I:
1370/1990
Math: 750
CR: 620
W: 620 (10 Essay)

4) U of Wisconsin

Caruso 707,

Assuming your upward trend in grades continues, I think you have a good chance at all of these schools, with Purdue being a lock. I suggest taking the SAT again in June and maybe doing an SAT II in literature or history to show you are a good overall student. Nice ECs.

Thanks for the quick reply, to be completely honest those SAT scores are speculated. I have taken 5 practices scoring 1840, 1900, 1950, 1990, 2030. I think I did well, so I put 1990 just to low ball it(hopefully it is higher). If I get 2000+ I don’t think i’ll take it again and will just focus on my grades, EC’s and app process. Do you really think I am a “lock” at Purdue?

Also, about the SAT II’s I don’t know if I am going to take any more of them, mainly because I put a lot of prep in getting those scores to where they are and they are in subject areas that I am good at. I can’t say the same about english. Maybe i’ll look into a history one.

Also, What do you think my chances are at Ga Tech? That is kinda my dream school.

Can someone please chance me?

Please!!! Someone!!!

Can just ONE other person give me my chances?

This forum is dead.

Georgia Tech is a low reach, whereas UIUC is a high match and the rest are low match/safety. Given your upward trending grades, you shouldn’t be in too bad of shape.

Your SAT scores and ECs are there but a higher GPA could not have hurted!
You have a good chance at the colleges you applied to.
Dont worry about it too much youll get into one if not all that you applied!

Thanks so much, that’s encouraging, and I am hoping that is accurate.
