I’ve got a 34 average on the five ACT practice tests I’ve done so far. I found it easier than the SAT so your advice regarding which test to take was very useful.
I’m still unsure whether I should apply though. If I don’t get accepted and end up staying in my home country, I would have lost an year for practically nothing. Also, I know my chances are slim and I’m afraid I won’t stand out that much.
What about you, which schools will you be applying to and do you have your test scores already? Did you get any info from Fulbright regarding the profile of most portuguese students applying to the US?
You’ll regret if you don’t try. Just choose wisely. Find honors colleges that will offer what our need also.
Any program with good rep in finance that you could recommend? Again, money is also an issue so I’ve been filtering out potential colleges in terms of the average international fa offered.
Also, it seems most schools offering international fa are top universities and LACs. Public schools, specifically, seem to offer very little aid in my case.
Because merit aid is not financial aid. It doesn’t correlate with how rich or poor our family is, but with our test scores (mostly).
Not all universities offer money for test scores but some do. You should target those with strong honors colleges.
