I'm applying to Cornell - CALS, Vanderbilt, and Notre Dame as a biology major. Right now I'm in my second semester of college, so I'm applying for sophomore admission.

My HS GPA is 3.6, College GPA is 4.0, and my SAT score is 1680
I have no EC's for college, but I volunteered 4 hrs/ week last semester. I'm transferring from LSU, but I attended UMUC, a community college, my first semester. I'm wondering what my chances for acceptance are.

Well, I am not the best at saying what kind of shot you will have but keep in mind that because you are applying as a sophomore theyre going to weight your hs credentials a lot more. Also, they are probably going to worry that you are transferring twice.

Those schools also like to see you have taken advantage of all the opportunities at your school so you should def get on top of that.

college gpa looks good for cornell. i agree with staying another year to make those HS stats count less, but if you keep it up and write good essays, you would have a shot
