Chances for transfer applicant to ILR

I'm applying to ILR for Spring admission. My application has already been completed and sent in.

White male from California, not applying for any financial aid.

Current student at UCLA: 2nd year, 3.86 GPA-- mostly introductory courses though

SAT 1: 1400
SAT IIs: Writing, 800-IIC, 730-US Hist, 700
ACT: 31

I was top 10% at my public HS, but my grades really dropped senior year. Classic senioritis. Still ended up with over a 4.0 weighted though.

Some ECs since HS:
Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity
Co-founder of Real Estate Association
Intramural sports
Some internship/work experience, mostly in law/business firms

Also, my brother is currently a senior at the Engineering School @ Cornell.

Can anybody weigh my chances? I don't really know how the admission committee reviews apps....any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks.

very good chances. I transfered to ILR with similar stats.

The admissions staff is very ... thorough. Your application will be read by 3 people who will say yes or no, and possibly a fourth if you're borderline.

Good luck.

What were your stats, if you don't mind me asking? And where did you transfer from?

i had a 3.85 gpa with 60 total credits after one year split between Syracuse U and the local community college (i went to the two schools to rack up credits). I dont remember exact high school stuff, but ILR is way more concerned about college grades. You're in your second year at UCLA, so SATs and HS grades really wont make much of a difference. Your law/business internships also gives you a boost ... they like students who know what they're getting into at ILR. When do you find out if you got in or not?

Rolling admissions begin sometime in December....fingers crossed

Anybody else happen to have any insight?

I would say that you can pull it off especially because of your SAT scores they counter your lower class rank.
