How good/bad are my chances to transfer to Michigan State University for Fall 2012? When should I apply in order to have the best chance possible? I expect my GPA to go up to at least a 3.3 by the end of the current semester. And by the end of my next semester it should be up to about a 3.4.

I'm looking to start class at MSU for fall semester of 2012. Please let me know if I have a good/bad chance of getting in. Thanks.

I would bring up that GPA as much as possible. 3.2 is about as low as they accept from what I’ve heard. I think if you can get it up to a 3.4 that would be best.

Oh, well I didn’t know it was that hard to get in.

I have a few friends in community college that got into MSU with a 2.8/3.0ish GPA’s.

Why is a 3.2 at a higher ranked university not a strong consideration though?

I’ve never heard of anyone with a 2.8/3.0 transferring in. Coming from a higher ranked university will probably count for something but I would still work to get your GPA up.

I think you’re fine. They require a 3.0 or higher for transfer students. It’s all on their site.

I believe the earliest you can start is the summer term (5/13/2013)
I wish they had an application for the Spring term

A 3.2 puts you in toss up category. Just make sure you have an upward trend in grades.
