About Me
I am a freshman in college and I want to major in mechanical engineering. I am planning on applying to Johns Hopkins (first choice) Bucknell and Embry riddle. I would apply to MIT but I don't think I would get in.

My record so far
Public 1-4 and 6-8 home school 5th and high school. Well sort of home schooled in high school. It was a home school curriculum decided on and carried out by me, but technically as part of a private school. A counselor would come to my house twice a year and check to make sure I was doing what I said I was. Grading was on a pass-fail basis, so I don't have a GPA from high school. Also I didn't take all the standard classes. I graduated a year early and waited a year to proceed to college. Not sure if it will matter but my current college has a unique reputation, both good and not so good.

High school credits of interest 6 english 2 math 2 history 1 science
College (4 credits per class) currently taking precalculus (B) intro to chemistry (A) and two others (A) and (A)
And will take next semester General Chemistry and lab (5 credits) and Calculus 1 (and two others)
Total of 32 credits for the year

The numbers
SAT Reading 750, math 620, Writing 540
Current college GPA 3.75

Extras
Girl scout all the way through high school, but no awards or anything
Recreational soccer
Graduated a year early and took the year off
My grandmother and aunt graduated from johns Hopkins Nursing program, and worked at the hospital for a number of years.

Am I aiming to high with johns Hopkins? The transfer acceptance rate is between 7 and 9 percent. And are there any good engineering schools you think I should apply too?

What are my chances?
