I applied to transfer to Ohio State as a second semester freshman. I have a 31 on the ACT and a 3.9 cumulative GPA from high school. I submitted my application and had my scores and transcript sent on 10/26, but it took them a long time for my college transcript to say “waived,” so my application status just went to “evaluation” this past week. Does anyone have an idea of how long it will take for me to find out? It’s nearing the end of the semester and I am very worried that I will not find out in time. I have to have a housing release form turned in to my current university by Nov. 30, which is 2 weeks from yesterday. I am hoping since my scores and GPA are pretty high it will take less time for OSU to evaluate me, but I have no idea. Any help would be great to put me at ease. I would really love to be at OSU in the spring, but I am so nervous about there not being enough time.

Im in the exact same boat! I applied for OSU on 10/07, my transcripts were received about the same week since I sent them the week before however I also had to send in supplemental information ( a background check because of something dumb I did a few years ago and did disclose it to OSU). By the time they received everything i.e background check form and court records (I sent out everything right away however they kept asking for different documents) it was 11/03. I called undergrad admissions last friday because im extremely worried about timing, I applied for spring semester as a junior transfer from CA. The nice lady who answered my call informed me that it would take approximately 4-6 weeks AFTER your application was submitted, (pretty much said from the time your app goes to evaluation). I feel your pain on the whole waiting situation especially because I live out in California, if I get accepted to OSU I would need to move to Ohio and find housing which WAS my main worry until I realized that registration for classes started on Oct. 15 which means by the time they finish evaluating apps there may not be many classes to choose from :/
