Chances for transferring to the U of MN CSE or CLA for Computer Sci or Computer Engineering

Currently finished my fall semester at Community college and hope to transfer for next fall. I have taken Calc 1(AP) Calc 2(B) Calc 3 (Not graded yet) Physics 1(NG) Intro to Computer science (NG) Chem 1 (B) Chem 2 ©. This spring I will be taking Linear Algebra, Object oriented C++ and Physics 2. I asked my counselor for the best classes to take so I could transfer to the U of MN but she seemed to leave out Discrete math which is a required for both of these majors. I have been really stressed out and don’t know what to do I have contacted the advisors from both colleges and didn’t really get a clear yes or no response. There are no other schools in my area that offer these majors for the price and I don’t know what to do. I really need some good advice I know my GPA isn’t good at all for these majors but its what I really want to do.

  1. What majors at the CSE require a very high gpa?
  2. Is it possible for me to take 1 semester at CLA and hope I can ace all the classes and transfer to CSE?
  3. Can you take pre req classes at the U of MN in CLA as undecided and then transfer or do you have to declare a major?
  4. If so you are also a community college transfer to the U of Mn could you share your experience gpa, classes, etc.

Thanks
