I would like to know what my chances of admission would be for the aforementioned college. Thanks in advance!
P.S. If you have any other college recommendations I would love to hear them as long as they’re in New England/ Northeast!
If you could also chance me for Connecticut College that’d be awesome!
Hi Michael, my dau is a 1st yr student loving TC. She had a weighted 4.23 in high school, taking nearly all honors classes & several AP. Her ACT was 31. Don’t recall SAT. She played 1 varsity sport 4 yrs & also volunteered at writing center. She held a part-time job as well. Sounds like if you continue on current path, you will be a strong candidate for Trincoll. Best Wishes!
Hi Michael: Your stats look good to me for Connecticut College too, but I don’t work in admissions.
I can tell you my first year son is thrilled there (knock on wood.) He is happy with all aspects–his profs, new friends, the location (beautful campus near a train that serves the entire northeast corridor,) and his casual, friendly sports team.
ConnColl offers a huge advantage to those applying ED: accepting 70% or so. They really like demonstrated interest: applying ED is the most important piece of that. Visit, interview, attend an info session, read everything about it. If it suits you, go for it whole hog (or camel.)
Among its temptations, Conn has the most stunning perch on a hill overlooking both the LI Sound and the river, a 750 acre arboretum with an island and a lily pond, and a new athletic pavillion with vistas of said river. Conn is, by many accounts, not only a superb academic environment, but also the most beautiful school in the NESCAC.
What’s not to love, especially with that ED boost?
