Chances for Tulane?

<p>School Type: Catholic Private school, starts at 8:00 AM, ends at 4:45 PM</p>

<p>GPA: 3.45 UW
I know this GPA is extremely low, but my school's courses is known for being extremely difficult, and my school is nationally recognized.</p>

<p>Courses: My school only allows Juniors and Seniors to take AP courses
4 years of English
3 years Honors Spanish
AP Calc AB, AP Statistics, AP European History, AP Computer Science, AP Chemistry, AP Physics B
2 years Honors Latin (gold & silver medalist on National Latin Exam)
4 years Theology
1 year Stained Glass
1 year Media
Honors Geometry, Honors Precalculus
U.S. History
Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology</p>

<p>ACT: 31 (35 Math, 33 English, 31 Reading, 25 Science :/)
32 Superscored
but I have been taking Barron's Practice Tests and managed to get averages of 32/33, and I am going to retake in September
SAT: 2000 (might retake) </p>

<p>Do you know your class rank? It would really help. I know your school, and it does have a reputation for being hard, but as you said, your GPA is pretty low.</p>

<p>I’d say Tulane is a high match/low reach, but it’s hard to say without some context for your GPA. And of course it would help your chances if you could get a 33 or >2100.</p>

<p>To be honest, I’m not exactly sure about my class rank. But I would guess at least top top 25% .</p>

I was wondering I have a 3.7 gpa 25 act what schools can I get into top8% texas resident what texas schools can I get into in texas tamu I am also black from Africa if that helps ut Austin or Texas tech

<p>I think you have a decent chance.
Tulane has gotten much less competative post-Katrina (and frankly it was never super-duper-selective prior).</p>

<p>@soze: You could have said Tulane is not that competitive back in 2007 or 2008 but not this year anymore…</p>
