Hi ,I’m currently doing high school in India.im an American citizen, but a permanent resident of Canada(Ontario)
my grade 9 and 10 marks are as follows(CBSE)

GRADE 10

CGPA 9.2/10

MATH-B1
SCIENCE-A2
SOCIAL STUDIES-A2
ENGLISH-A1
FRENCH-A1 (WOULD THIS BE A PLUS POINT IN CANADA)

GRADE 9

CGPA-8.8
MATH-B2
SCIENCE A2
SOCIOL STUDIES-A2
ENGLISH-A2
FRENCH-A2

am I overly ambitious or are these universities in my reach, provided I do well in grade 12?
since I’m a resident would it be easier to get in. Another thing i was wondering was that on the websites of all the above universities they say that SAT isn’t a requirement for indian high school students, does that mean i don’t have to take SAT?
any thing will do,thanks in advance!

pls help

Although SAT isn’t required, scores would probably help, if you do well. D16 is an Ontario student, but took the ACT, did well and submitted it to to a couple of schools on your list. She did very well in her Ontario admissions.

The schools on your list will mainly care about your grade 12 marks, so it’s too soon to say what your chances are.

Some programs in the above schools, especially engineering, and especially Waterloo, are moving to a holistic method of assessment, so grades will not be the sole determining factor.

thanks bouders, ive registered for SAT and am hoping for the best!since I only plan on applying after I get my grade 12 marks(next may) would my grade 11 marks still significantly impact my admission?? after grade 12 I plan on taking a couple of AP tests and subject tests, which I should be able to do well since we learn most of there topics at school.,On most Canadian schools websites grade 11 mark are not a “requirement” for indian high school students.all they want is grade 10 certificate(which has both grade 9 and 10 marks) and grade 12 certificate(which does not mention grade 11 marks) is this true, or in the end will they ask me to send them(they are pretty low :frowning: ) ??,could u guys chance me for a few more canadain colleges( queens, mcmaster etc),THANKS IN ADVANCED!!
