I have a 3.7 unweighted gpa. 1200 Sat score (working on getting it up… taking again October 1). Amazing extracurriculars (club president, varsity track captain, other varsity sports, hundreds of volunteer hours.)
What is your UC GPA? And is your GPA of a 3.7 on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale?
UCSB will be a big reach for you. As for UCD, I believe it will be a reach. An SAT score of a 1200 is simply lower than both of the schools’ average SAT scores and 25% rank scores. What are you getting on your practice tests? Perhaps get your October SAT to a 1370 for better chances.
For Cal Poly SLO (I assume) but an FYI there is a Cal Poly Pomona, so make sure you distinguish which school, SLO uses 9-11th grades in their GPA calculation. Use the same UC calculator but include Freshman grades.
I agree that your test scores are a bit low for the UC’s and you would need a UC GPA of 4.0+ for a decent chance at UCD/UCSB. Retaking the SAT will help but your HS course rigor is also slightly lacking with only 2 AP classes Junior year. At your HS, are only Juniors and Senior allowed to take AP classes?
For SLO, Psychology has about a 12% acceptance rate so based on your stats (since EC’s only account for 10%), SLO is a slight Reach. Cal Poly Pomona would be a definite Match school however.
You need some solid Match and Safety schools on your list. I would add UCR/UCSC/SDSU/CSULB/CSU Fullerton and/or SJSU.
