Chances for UC Berkeley and UCLA?

My overall GPA is 3.95 weighted. I am currently taking 4 AP classes. I know that my GPA is not as high as it should be, but I have excellent extracurricular activities. I am a volunteer at a farm and a volunteer for AIDS and Breast Cancer walks. I have approximately 270 hours of community service.

What are my chances of being admitted to UC Berkeley and UCLA?
I am thinking of applying to UCB with a major in Art History (I passed the AP test) and applying to UCLA with Undecided - Social Sciences.

No SAT and/or ACT scores?

I do feel as if my GPA limits me to what major I want to choose.

My ACT score is 21. I know I can do better, had problems during the test day.
I will be retaking it this month.

Yes or no?

You will probably need to get that score up to at least a 29. Everything else on your application looks excellent.

im also applying for UCLA undergrad L&S-social science undecided for next year :p

Join this page www.facebook.com/groups/berkeley2016/ if you’re a prospective Berkeley student for 2016!!

If you can get an SAT >2050 or ACT over 30 I’d say you’re pretty good. EC’s are as strong as they can get. GPA is decent, it won’t hurt you if you’ve taken a lot of APs.

With a lowish GPA, you definitely need a higher test score. Maybe the ACT isn’t your thing, try the SAT. As for your extracurriculars, it is definitely an impressive list, but UCs limit how many you can list on an application (5 extracurriculars, 5 volunteer, 5 work experience)

Got the supplement for both UCLA and UC Berkeley. I sure hope I get in to at least one of them.
