Chances for UC Berkeley or any other top Chemistry school

Hi guys. I'm new here and I just wanted to know what you think my chances of getting into UC Berkeley are. I just took the ACT plus writing and got a 33 on it with an 11 on the essay. I'm a junior and taking a full schedule of IB classes in my school. So far, I'm ranked 1/about 250-300 students. My weighted GPA is a 5.0, unweighted 4.0. I'm currently vice-president of my school's chapter of FBLA, and I took 9th place in the National Conference last year in Computer Concepts. I'm also involved in History Club, and on my school's History Bowl team. I swim and play tennis for my school as well. Also, I came to the US when I was 8, from Bulgaria (Don't know if this will help, but it might).

UCB: Match (OOS)

I really don't understand what you just posted. Sorry, I'm really new to this forum, and to forums in general.

Chav:

UCB: Match (out of state)

A match, as in, I have a good chance? If that's a yes, what about scholarships?

Oh, I forgot, I'm also a peer tutor.

Why would you want to pay $40K/yr for a school that has hundreds of students in most classes and just above half graduate in 4 years. Cal is great for grad school but does not offer a great undergrad experience. Theres's little financial aid for oos students and in state students that are not at the top graduate with big loans if they needed aid. I advise rethinking here.

What scool would you recommend?

I'd recommend MIT and Caltech.

Pffft...

UCB: NO WAY

Why?

No Chavs allowed. :p

Just kidding. Match.

Just to comment on Zagat's claims. He says most classes have hundreds of students at Berkeley, but 81% of the classes here have fewer than 40 students. Compare that to Mit, which only 80% of thier classes have fewer than 40 students. Also, oos tuition+fees is $17,820 dollars at Berkeley. Compare that to Mit's tuition and fees, which is $32,000. That said, considering your major, if you got into either Caltech or Mit than I think youd be happy there. Just don't let the trolls fool you about what the schools that they've never attented are "really like." BTW, the data from my claims come from each school's common data set for the 2004-2005 years, which can be found at thier respective websites.
