So how are my chances for UCLA and or Berkeley. Any help will be appreciated, and yea be blunt as possible!

Btw im Korean, even worse for admission process.lol

First question: can your family afford to pay $50k a year for a UC? That’s the cost for OOS, and there is little to no financial aid available from the UCs. The UCs are great schools, but they’re not worth enough to justify taking out large loans. So if UCs are not within your budget, save yourself the application fees.

The best way to assess your odds of getting in is via [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/statfinder/default.aspx). UC uses a GPA based only on the so-called a-g courses taken in 10th and 11th grade. OOS applicants may weight AP courses, but not honors courses, for up to 8 semesters. If I figured correctly, it looks like your UC gpa is 3.82. Use that and your SAT I score in the StatFinder; UC no longer requires SAT IIs.

Though Cal and UCLA are both slowly raising the amount of OOS admitted, chances are still much worse for OOS than in-state students. You probably don’t have a good chance compared to the bajillion of other Asians (at least where I am in the Bay Area, there’s a lot of Asians and all of them are like…perfect everything even if that doesn’t mean much) who will be applying in-state.

UCLA is a reach, UC Berkeley is incredibly unlikely.

Yeah, your chances are slim. If you do have the means to afford an OOS tuition for the UCs apply to some of the other ones. You have a better shot at Santa Cruz, Davis, and Santa Barbara.

Oh jeez, i did not clear this up. Only my freshman year i attended school in arizona. ive been in california both sophomore and junior year
