I am a California resident and intend to raise my sat scores.

Oh, BTW my UC GPA is 4.11.

SAT is too low for Berkeley. The UC’s are not allowed to admit based on race or ethnicity, so your URM status doesn’t mean anything for the UC system.

UCB, UCLA, UCSD would be okay to apply to as long as you know they’re reaches (UCSD a low reach); you’d need to add matches, including one more UC (UCSB? UCD?)
UVA would be interested in your profile but due to its selectivity, it’s a reach.
Finally, do you have your 2 safeties (schools you like, can afford, and know you’ll get into)? Do you have matches?

I’m applying to U of A and UCSB, too.

@aunt bea , can you clarify what you mean by “too low”? The 25th percentile for UCB is 590 CR, 630 M, 620 W. The OP is above that. So yes, probably below the median, but “too low” seems a bit harsh.

UCB is a low reach because of your SAT score, but if you can bring it up then you’re good to go!
