Hello all,

Physical Education - 4 years
Oral Communications (elective)
Foundations of Technology (elective)

GPA 4.14 on a 4.33 scale Unweighted
GPA 7.12 on a 7.83 scale Weighted - (i know this means nothing)

Does UCF have their own GPA calculations like UF where they give you .5 for honors and 1.0 for AP? If so, he is at 4.647.

Mathematics Honor Society
Social Studies Honor Society
World Language Honor Society
Class Council
Prospective Major: Engineering
He is out of state: Pennsylvania
High School stopped doing class rank but was 15 out of 300 as the time they stopped. Top 5%.
Not in band, choir, etc but is in a couple academic teams (Envirothon, Physics Olympics)
Thank you for looking.
I believe ucf averages are approx 1340 sat, 28 act.
@BillyMadison123 I believe your S has an excellent chance of getting into UCF. I’d say he even has a decent shot at getting into the Burnett Honors College. If his SAT re-take is higher then his chances become even better. Hope this helps. (My S is enrolling in UCF this fall – he’s OOS and in the BHC.)
Just a quick comment. Check catalog…ap equivalents…APES did not(perhaps that has changed this year) have an equivalent at ucf. Your s will get credit for it, but maybe just as an elective and not as a GEP. There may be a better AP CLASS to take that will fulfill a requirement.
Update - just received May’s SAT score = 1430.
That’s great, BillyMadison123 – exact same score as S (RW 730, M 700). You should have a good shot at Burnett Honors College. If you apply to UCF, you should definitely consider applying to BHC – it was significant opportunities and benefits. Check out BHC on the web. All the best to you.
Yes, if he does get into UCF he will be applying to BHC.
Ucf looks good for him…burnett too!!
The earlier he applies…the better…the more scholarship money available. Ucf is pretty fast at sending acceptances, scholarship money takes a little longer. Uf…won’t find out until February.
Good luck…love to have him at UCF!!
Update - Received his June SAT scores - Superscore is now 1440
UPDATE - Accepted on 9/2/17
