Thank you!!!!((:

I’m a incoming UCSD student in human bio right now, so I’ll try and give a shot at it.

GPA wise, it’s a little bit on the low side (unweighted I mean). If there’s a rising trend or a reason then definitely put that in your UC application. Biology is REALLY competitive to get into UCSD which is why it’s called a IMPACTED major. I would say your weighted looks good (higher than mines)
For your ACT score, it is a bit low as well, but if you can raise, definitely do that! Have you taken the SAT II sciences or math? The Biology department will look for those.

Chemistry is a little bit less harsh; it isn’t an impacted major so it may be easier to get into that major.

Any AP or IB scores?

And for ECs, since it is a UC, it will look at those a lot. Your activities don’t really make you stand out in any particular way among the thousands of applicants and the volunteer hours are good but again, in the average (sorry for sounding a bit harsh if I do).

Hope that helped a little bit!

A 1950+ on the SAT will put you in good shape for that part of your application. You have fun and interesting EC’s and a solid GPA for UCI, so rest assured that you can call Irvine a match/high match if you improve your scores a bit.

UCSD will be more difficult. Major in Chemistry or Biochemistry if your planning on going Pre-Med., though UCSD would most likely admit you based on your stats and not your major. The Chemistry majors will be good preparation for the MCAT though, and because chemistry is typically more math intensive, it’ll help prepare you better for physics than biology will.
