Things to know: I immigrated to US five years ago, and when I arrived, I did not speak English. I am also about to secure an internship at a Stanford lab for the upcoming school year. Thank you and wish to hear your responses soon!

please respond thank you

Berkeley is High Reach UCLA is Low Reach- your standardized test scores are barely average at UCLA at they are almost definitely below average at Berkeley. Thankfully, it’s something you can actually work on.

Match for both since in state.

I looked at the SAT scores for Berkeley and LA and it seemed like 2180 was a match. Would you mind directing me to your source? I really want to know what i should get to have a high chance

What do you guys think about 2110 for UCLA or Berkeley? Thank you

It is, especially with a 4.46/3.96 gpa.

Thank you for your response. Berkeley’s sat average was 2031, from 2010. Unfortunately, their website hasnt been updated and i feel like a 2030 wouldnt cut it these days. LA’s stats are much more updated and I was a match for all their stuff except for CR

AtypicalAsian you can go on LA’s website to look at their breakdowns. Sadly, they dont have anything like that for Berkeley

I think you are a high match at both (versus a match) because your ECs are a little thin. You have done well and have a compelling story to tell. Good luck to you!

Thanks unfortunately as soon as I adapted to the US culture, i realized that it was already too late to get in a serious EC. Yes my ECs are thin for sure

Any other inputs would be nice thank you
