So I applied to 7 different UCs (every one except Riverside and Merced), with a 3.42.

I applied for Iranian Studies at LA and Middle Eastern Studies at Berkeley (I'm Iranian), while applying for Econ/Bus. Econ at the other 5 schools. My essay was really good and convincing on how I plan to combine both majors in some form for my career. If admitted to LA or Berkeley, I'll probably go to one of these schools and switch majors (or try to). Or actually there's a good chance that I'll stay in Iranian/Middle Eastern Studies.

Anyways, I got into the 5 schools I applied to under Econ/Bus. Econ, but I haven't heard from LA or Berkeley. Not really sure what my chances are (probably not good), but a bunch of you have heard from LA so you should know better than I do.

So in your honest opinions, what are my chances at getting in to LA/Berkeley?

some chance for UCLA, but not sure for CAL since the middle 50% of the student is on a 4.0 and the rest is in the range of 3.59-3.99, and you're not within that range...this doens't mean it's impossible, i know a few people who were accepted with 3.0 and 3.2 to bio major (which is extermely impacted)...i'm sure iranian study is not as impacted as bio major....just wait til tomorow....also, does berkeley let everyone knows tomorow or is it on a rolling basic? i must go to sleep so time can pass by faster...nity nite
