Okay, so if I did it right, your UC GPA is 3.96. To calculate your UC GPA, you only use your 10-11th grades GPA (that’s all that UC’s really care about - grade wise) and add all of the scores using the regular scale (A=4, B=3, C=2, etc.) and add 8, because UC’s only count 8 AP/Honors semesters as an extra point. So, for example, my sophomore and junior years, I had 7 AP/Honors classes, which is 14 semesters of AP/Honors right? Well, for UC’s, they’ll only count 8 semesters for a “Weighted UC GPA”. So really, only 8 of my available 14 semesters count for a weighted GPA for UC’s. With this said, and if I did it correctly, your GPA is a little low for the Berkeley and UCLA. I would suggest applying though to both, but make sure that your personal statement is killer. They really base a lot of the personal statement and not just your test scores and GPA. Your SAT is pretty good though. I think you have a solid chance at USC but as for other UC’s, look into San Diego and maybe Irvine, they are both really good schools as well. I hope I helped :)
