Hey, I just wanted to ask about my chances for transferring to UCLA. I thought I'd categorize and list so it's easier to read lol

Up to spring 2010:
- 10 units
- 2 W's

When I apply/when they read my app (fall 2010/January 2011):
- 3.75 GPA
- 32 units total (add in AP credits and it becomes 58)
- IGETC done
- 3/6 prerequisites (all finished by spring 2011 though)
- Major is American Literature and Culture (It is not impacted and the average GPA of admitted students this year was a 3.45)

Other
- Am currently attending a CCC
- Have been tutoring English (reading/writing) some 20 hours/week for some 2.5 years
- My lack of classes through most of my first year is due to family problems, and my lack of prerequisites is due to 1) family problems, and 2) a different major (I was previously going for something science-based). Not that this excuses my shortcomings, but I do address these problems in one of the personal statements. It's not that I'm using the statement to explain myself, really. It just so happens what I'm writing about allows the weaving in to occur.

So yeah. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)
