Essays are good and teacher recs are great, say I am top 1% student they had.

You have almost the same stats as me. I think you have a decent shot although oos may hurt you with your sat however your high gpa may make up for it. Also consider that uc weighted gpa only takes soph and junior year into account ( i think it is only 8 semesters of ap work accepted)Try to take the sat one more time and aim for a 2000. Best of luck! Hopefully we will both be at ucla next fall!

Do you need financial aid? What state do you live in? It doesn’t make much sense to attend a UC if you are OOS due to the high cost for non-CA residents. You have posted other chance threads, that I have responded to, with different schools listed, but I will give you my opinion again based on your current post. I think your SAT score is too low for UCLA, even if you were in-state. Even a score of 2000 will not make you real competitive, particularly for an OOS applicant. I would consider other mid-tier UCs like Davis or Irvine, or possibly San Diego. I thought you were overly ambitious on your college list from what I remember. If financial aid is needed to offset your parent’s EFC, you really need to look at affordable alternatives that match your profile.
