I’d say they’re all reaches, sadly. You might get into UCM, though I’d recommend going to a CC for two years and then transferring. A 3.0 W just won’t cut it.

Actually, if it makes you feel any better, I know someone who got into UCD with a 2.8 UW/3.2W GPA. Not too sure about the SAT, but prob. something like in the 1800s. So your scores alone wouldn’t necessarily make it impossible. It’s mere speculation, but I would venture to say that your ECs are better than average for these 3 UCs.

Bump. Anyone know about what SAT or ACT score would be good to match my low GPA. I’m really stressed about this saturday and if I have a realistic goal, I’ll be more motivated.

^ Just do your best and relax!! Your life is not ruined because of a silly SAT score.

Definitely apply to the UCs. If you don’t get in and have your heart set on a UC, seriously consider a CC for two years and transfer as a junior. This is definitely the easiest way to get into a more prestigious UC, if you do well at a CC…you’ll save money in the process.

Good luck!

If you’re interested in UCSC, I’d definitely recommend going to Cabrillo for two years. It’s apparently one of the best community colleges in the nation, plus you’ll live in Santa Cruz which is awesome. Then after two years, just transfer to UCSC, which is an amazing school and deserves a better name than it has.
