bump it up!

your SAT 1 scores are a bit low, but I think you have a great chance for all the UC’s except berk and LA. those will be low reaches. chance me back please! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1229666-chance-me-upenn-ed.html#post13354396

your sat scores will be your downfall
your gpa is solid enough for all your schools, but where your sat is concerned, it will hurt you at UCB, UCLA, and probably UCSD and UCD

Why is UCI not on your list? That one will be a good fit for your stats.

And you shouldn’t have a problem with SLO

Good luck!

UC Berkeley - reach
UC Los Angeles - low reach
UC San Diego - high match/low reach
UC Davis - match
CalPoly San Luis Obispo - high safety

SAT test scores are relatively low for engineering. also, UCSD bio and bioengineering are impacted.

I am new to CC and I am not really familiar with Match, Reach, and Safety. Can I get a precent approximation? That will help me a lot. Thanks to those who replied. :D

bump it up! :D

bump it up

reach~30 / match~60/ safety~90

although, i have to admit putting a percentage is some what arbitrary.

high is harder and low is easier. therefore, there are 9 levels going from high reach (hardest) to low safety (easiest); it isn’t official of course - very little on this forum is. some people interchange “match” with “target”.

Interesting. Thank you very much for the explanation.

Hello,

I got in to ALL the UCs I applied to. I got to UCD, UCB, UCLA, and UCSD.
