Chances for UCs and Other Universities? Applying Fall 2014

<p>Hi all</p>

<p>I was wondering what were my chances for getting into the following universities with my stats. I go to a high school in southern california. </p>

<p>I would like to apply as an accounting/finance/econ major and/or something bio related in these colleges. I will be applying this fall (2014)</p>

<p>Yeah my extracurriculars are not that great, oh well. </p>

<p>So with my information, how much of a chance do I have at these colleges? Also, what other colleges would you recommend I apply to other than these? </p>

<p>Your ECs are a bit weak for some of these schools, but with your great SAT score and GPA you have a good shot at the vast majority of them :)</p>

<p>Columbia, Yale- reach
UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Tufts- low reach/high match</p>

<p>The rest are matches, low matches, or safeties</p>

<p>How hard would I have to work on the UC essay given my info? My Chinese parents are telling me to do it all the time…sigh</p>

<p>Looks good for the California public schools. Get started on those essays because you will not have time to do these over the semester.</p>

<p>Thanks for the info! Can anyone else give me any input? How many essays in total does one typically have to write? How much time should be spent on each?</p>
