Chances for UCs, CMU, Cornell, and out of state Public Schools

Asian Male in a competitive public school in Silicon Valley (California)
Entered United States in 7th grade (Yeah, a lot of difficulties with English)
My school does not rank, currently a Junior
Weighted GPA: 4.5
Unweighted: 3.85
UC GPA: 4.2 (because it only gives extra points for four honors/AP's)
SAT I: 1900ish (This sucks, I'm going to spend the whole summer preparing and try to retake)
SAT II: Math II: 790 , Taking Chemistry in May (Maybe above 750 since I'm doing AP Chemistry)
I only took a few honors course in sophomore year and my school does not offer honors and AP's to freshmen

AP Physics C Mechanics (community college course during second semester)

Haven't taken the AP Exams yet, but getting one or two B's in the classes, the rest are all A's, most likely to get the National AP Scholar Award.

So, what are my chances for all those UC's, Urbana Champaign, Michigan (Ann Arbor), Georgia Tech, CMU, and Cornell
Intended Major: Civil Engineering
If you guys think I should apply some other private schools, where should I apply?

What's the breakdown on the SAT score? That will make a difference.

dangg that's a lot of APs. try to get on officer status in some more ECs, e.g. astronomy club. also your SAT retake will be ESSENTIAL, you should aim for 2200+

once your SAT score is 2200+, Cornell would be a low reach

Why are you self-studying all those AP's? It just looks like you're trying to pad your resume for colleges. If you are really interested in history and economics and physics, then I guess you could go forth and self-study those...

But it really is stupid to have to worry about all those AP courses. Most kids who get into top colleges (i.e. Ivy League or Ivy League-caliber), will have only taken 6 (on average) by the end of their senior year.

What about Berkeley? Berkeley is my #1 Choice, so what should I do to get in to Berkeley, or what are my chances?
By the way, I'm not aiming for those Ivies, UC's offer more value for the money, plus I can also use all of those credits. So, chance me for the UC's then.

I think you have great chances at Berkeley if you can improve your SAT score. What was your breakdown on it?

AP-coholic

you're in, darn, are that many kids like you?

I hope not, my school barely had 7Aps!

Reading: 600ish Writing: 600ish Math: 700ish
How much do you guys think I should improve my scores, particularly for Berkeley?

Berkeley.. just try to bring your SATs and you'll be good
i moved from China to U.S. in 5th grade.
im really nervous to take the SATs for CR and W lol

are you insane?????!!!!! Thats mass suicide! why take ALL those aps?? And how you manage your time is truly remarable! I don't think you should have any problem. my friend, she got into Cornell and she only took six (got fives on all six) and had 4.0 gpa, and she only played tennis as her extracurricular....
So in comparison to YOU, she basically did nothing. so YOU'll most likely get in..
