Chances for UCs/CSUs?

I am planning to major in computer science and I am trying to figure out what a good college list would be. So far my college list is:

UCI
UCSB
Either UCSC or UCD
UCSD <— Hope School
SJSU
SDSU
Cal Poly SLO
Cal Poly Pomona

(I am open for any other college suggestions, but please keep it in California.)

My stats:

Cumulative GPA (Weighted): 3.88
Cumulative GPA (Unweighted): 3.51
Weighted 10-12 GPA: 4.0
Unweighted 10-12 GPA: 3.61
UC GPA: 3.9

SAT: 1880 (CR: 590, Math: 710, Writing: 580)
Will be taking ACT and SAT II Math 2

Extracurriculars:
4 Years Basketball (1 year JV, 3 Years Varsity)
Key Club
Church Volunteer

AP and Honors Classes Completed: 14 Semesters (7 Classes)

9th Grade: AP Environmental Science, H English 9
10th Grade: AP World History, H English 10
11th Grade: AP Calculus AB, AP US History, AP Lang

Current Classes:
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics
H Human Anatomy

I also completed 3 classes from my community college.
POLISCI 150 - A
ECON 201 - B
CMPSCI 150: Web Programming Javascript - A

An 1880 isn’t going to cut it at the top UCs, especially for computer science. GPA is pretty low too in comparison to the majority of other applicants. Good chances at SJSU SDSU Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona. UCSB is a high match, UCI and UCSD are reaches.

SJSU/SDSU/CPP: Match
UCSC: High Match
SLO/UCSB/UCI/UCD: Low Reach
UCSD: Reach

Your UC GPA and SAT scores are below average for all the UC’s on your list except UCSC. CS is super competitive at all the UC’s and SLO, so you need to be above average in your stats. UCR would be a good match and they have a credible CS program along with CSULB. If you are able to get your SAT score into the 2000+ range, the mid-tier UC’s would be possible.

Good Luck.
