Chance for UC’s and early decision to John Hopkins University!!!

If you apply early decision to Hopkins, you have a decent chance. You’re certainly competitive, and they favor ED applicants. Keep in mind, though, if you’re accepted, you’re pretty much committed.

He’s thinking about majoring in either neuroscience/bio-engineering? Could anyone chance him for the UC’s for those majors?

I’m not familiar enough with the UCs other than to repeat what one might find by looking at their 75/25 numbers. On the other hand, I’ve had two sons admitted to Hopkins, and known others who applied, and their outcomes.

hoping to have good essays in which I talk about my dad having cancer and how it dropped my grades, but how I became motivated and used this pain to become motivated in conducting research,etc. Do you think this is a good idea?

I think rec letters will be 6-7/10 for johns hopkins and cornell.

Hooks: Dad has cancer, maybe will write about it essay and how I used this to motivate myself for research, idk if it’s a hook
