Chances For UC's. I will chance back too.

Hello. I am a rising senior currently going to a California Distinguished School. I am also pursuing a IB diploma. I am Indian and want to be a neurosurgeon, which would be Health Science Major, I think. So Please Chance me for all UC's and if possible, then University of Michigan.
Cumulative GPA Weighted-4.05

10-12 GPA Weighted-4.259
UW-3.77
UC Weighted GPA-4.07

SAT-2150 M-750 CR-700 W-700
SAT II- Biology-800 Chemistry-800 (Assumptions)

AP and IB exams are all 4 and 5 except World History was a 3.

I don't which extracurriculars to use for you guys to chance me, so Im putting most of them.

Exc's- I helped a poor village in India during summer time and have letters from doctors over there who worked in the hospitals.

Clubs:
CSF member- 2 yrs
Mecha club-4 yrs
Future Doctors of America-2 yrs.
National Honor Society- For IB 2 yrs. (After I moved to my new school in Junior year)
Local County Art Awards in Freshman Year.( 3 first places, 2 second places, 1 fourth place).
Volunteered from 10th grade in summer in a Virginia Hospital. (Will Continue some more Volunteering for IB CAS Hours).

I do not have a lot of extracurriculars or volunteering.

I had to move at the beginning of junior year but continued with IB, so i don't know how this will affect my chances. I prize my exc's on the art awards.

My letters might include having to move almost 5 times and this brought my grade down in freshman year. My uncle also died in sophomore year and he raised me in my childhood before I had moved to U.S. The stress of constantly moving and making new friends held me back, but I have not gotten a C ever. I believe the personal statement, Letters of Recommendation and Essays will be good. I believe IB is loved by the UC's too. So, Please Chance me for all UC's since I only want to get into any UC or University of Michigan. I am in-state and have gone to all the best public schools in my area and my family has $250,000 income too. I also took all the hardest courses with 2 sciences in one year. Thank You and I will chance back to the best of my knowledge.

Anyone? Please? I will chance back.

50-50 chances at the top 2 UCs. Good chances at the lower-ranked UCs.

I think you are a fantastic candidate for all UCs, not to mention that you’re in-state so you have a great shot at getting in. Your stats look perfect, especially the SAT subject tests, such high scores are quite an achievement! Congrats. For the UCs, I am positive you will get in to at least one of them, if not all, so you’re set.

Michigan on the other hand, I’m not certain. I’d say you have about a 70% percent chance of getting in. The only thing that might hold you back is your volunteer hours. Even with that however, I think you are still a good fit for UMich.

I think you’ll get in all UC’s and Michigan too bc you have worked really hard and are really well rounded.

Thank you. I have heard that all the ucs are as competitive as private schools these days. Is this true? Because I know a couple people with perfect applications who could only get into ucd or less for possible jobs in medicine later? Would I at least be able to make uc Davis? Even though I am fine with all the ucs, I would especially want uc Davis. Would going to become a doctor or a premed major affect my chances since this field is a little more competitive?

With all your EC’s and your gpa…you can pretty much guarantee yourself admission into san diego state, uc san diego, uc davis, uc irvine, ucmerced, uc riverside, and when it comes to UCLA and and Berkeley…I would say your chances would be like 65-75% of getting in…because a 3.7 unweighted seems to be the average…I know this because my cousin currently attends berkeley and she got in with a 3.9, and her friend who had a 3.8 didn’t…so I guess it depends…but you should be in pretty good standing…considering your EC’s and gpa… So good luck friend!
