I have average ECs and Volunteer.

Scale: 1-5

If you have have average ECs combined with the average test scores you posted, I would say eliminate the top half of your list and add some more matches and safeties. Good luck!

As a white male, without any hooks (first generation, athlete, legacy…etc) your 33, while still in the ballpark, is the at the percentile of admitted students, for the most competitive schools you have listed—H, Y, S and for that matter, CALTech. I would counsel just have some solid match and safety schools.

-UC Berkeley - match

  • UC San Diego- low match
  • UCLA - match
  • UC Davis - low match/safety
  • UC Irvine - low match/safety
  • Stanford - high reach
  • CAL-TECH. High reach
  • Harvard. High reach
  • USC - match
  • Yale - high reach
  • Rice - reach
  • North American College - ?

What major? I saw Caltech, is it STEM?

I am undecided regarding my major.
