I was wondering what my chances are at UCLA, Cal, UCSB, and UCSD
also if anyone knows my chances at the college of creative studies at UCSB

Thank you for the help

SAT scores and your high school gpa don’t matter at all for college transfers.

Physics isn’t an impacted major at most schools but there’s still usually a lot of applicants like 100-200s. The average admissions gpa for UCLA is around a 3.7 for physics so I’d say you have a pretty great chance considering those 2 internships with your gpa. For Cal, you still have a chance but I wouldn’t be devastated if you don’t get in, people who get 4.0s can still get rejected by Cal. UCSD and UCSB should be no problem, but I haven’t looked into the transfer rates for those 2 schools that much.

Thanks for the response. Sorry I shouldn’t have posted hs gpa + sat.

haha i just wanted to let you know, only college stuff counts for transfers, so you should join and try to be an officer in any clubs if you can.
I’m at UCSC and trying to transfer next year too, but i’m a sophomore right now. I’m hoping to join a club or 2 to put on my application too.

What’s the reason for transferring? I think UC Santa Cruz has one of the best undergrad physics departement out of all the UCs.

Yeah I’ll probably sign up for a bunch of clubs at the opers festival.

They’re are a bunch of reasons for me transferring but as far as physics goes, UCLA, CAL, and UCSB are much higher on rankings. All UC’s have good sciences but those three are just on another level as far as physics is concerned.
