Chances for UCs

<p>I am applying to Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD. I think that UCLA and Berkeley are reaches and UCSD is a match. Anyone care to help? </p>

<p>UC GPA: 4.04 (I have an upward trend)
UW GPA: 3.72
ACT: 33 (planning to retake; hoping for 34)
SAT: Not reporting
SAT II: 730 US History
ECs/work experience: Student Council, CSF and NHS (not huge ECs), Cross Country, Intern at production company, Research Assistant over summer, also I play Go (if that means anything...)
Personal Statement: I have not started but I know I can write strong essays.
Awards: nothing huge (ap scholar, some school awards for academics, nhs, csf)</p>

<p>I don't really know what else to put. Hopefully I can bank on a high ACT. My largest problem is my low GPA, in my eyes. I feel that I have stronger chances at some private schools because of the more holistic approach they take in admissions, unfortunately.</p>

<p>You might have to send more than one SAT II score for the UC’s</p>

<p>they aren’t required according to their website. i have a lit but it’s a <700 score and I don’t know if I should submit it or not</p>

<p>i’ve taken 4 aps between sophomore and junior year and i am taking 4 (the max) this year. GorgeousDisaster, are you saying that the ACT is less important than the SAT?</p>
