Along with these, I have a background story that would make for a compelling college essay.
My top school is UC San Diego, but wanted chances on the following schools:
UC Berkeley
UC Santa Cruz
UC Merced
UC Santa Barbara
UC Davis
UC San Diego

Calculate your UC GPA (using 10th & 11th grade) and repost <a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors; . Your ACT is low - Berkeley, Santa Barbara, Davis and San Diego are a reach. Santa Cruz and Merced are a match.

Are you OOS? And no, your ACT isn’t low. It is way above average. Roughly the 85th percentile, which is great! Maybe not for Berkeley, but it is still fairly good.

I agree with @MLM that your ACT is on the low side for UCB/UCSD/UCSB/UCD and you need to calculate your UC GPA weighted. Since you are considering Computer Engineering, your STATs should be at least above the 50th percentile for a good chance at acceptance. UCSC/UCM are matches.
