Chances for UC's

Hi I just applied for UCI, UCSD, UC Davis, and UC Berkeley and want to know what you think my chances are to getting into any of these schools. I applied as a Mechanical Engineering Major are my "stats":

I have about 160 community service hours reported on my transcript, have yet to report another 120 Hours
Have volunteered at a hospital since summer before Junior year

JV Academic League Freshman year (quit because I wanted to play baseball)
JV Baseball 10th grade (Injured during first game of regular season so I no longer play)

Thanks
Good luck to all the other Seniors that applied to schools

Your SATs are a little weak for the UCs. Also I don’t think they superscore.

UCs do not superscore. Only your highest single sitting.

UCB: Reach
UCSD: Low Reach
UCD: High Match/Low Reach
UCI: Match

SAT score on the low side for most of the UC’s. Your GPA is competitive which UC’s do prefer.

Good Luck.

Thanks my highest single SAT score is 1930

I am also a National Hispanic Scholar

Your ECs are pretty good, and your GPA is average.
UCB - high reach
UCD - high match
UCSD - reach/ low reach
UCI - match

Good luck!

Is your 4.24 GPA capped at 8 maximum weighted semesters? If it is capped, you have very good chances for all the UCs. If it is uncapped, can you post either your capped UC GPA or your unweighted GPA?

<a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

My uncapped weighted gpa as of the end of junior year is 4.41 my UC gpa is 4.24

If it wasn’t for the lower than average SAT, you would have good chances all the schools listed since you have a great GPA. UCI and UCD would be your best bets.

Thank you for your responses.

I also applied to Cal Poly SLO , Pomona, and SDSU. What do you think my chances are for those?

You are in at SDSU and CPP. SLO has been really tough for Engineering applicants. For SLO, you are High Match/Low Reach.

UCB - very high reach
UCD - match
UCSD - match/slight reach
UCI - match

I would also consider applying to UCLA and UCSB. You would have a pretty good chance of getting into those schools, or at least UCSB

Thank you @gumbymom I’ll be sure to post whats schools i got into coming April

So far I’ve been accepted at SDSU, Cal Poly Pomona, and Case Western Reserve University

UCB - high reach
UCSD - low reach
UCI - high match
UCD - match

Your SAT scores, obviously are on the low side, UCD and UCI are good matches for you but Berkeley is literally out of the league (not to be discouraging). Your ECs are pretty good so I think you’ll do fine. UCSD might be a little tough but you might get into it. Hoping for the best. Hope you get accepted.

Here’s mine, chance me?
