I know my extracurriculars are relatively weak, but I hope my GPA and test scores make up for it?

haha i'm sorry. I noticed I posted this in the wrong forum last time and was only asking about UCLA so thought I'd repost to see chances of other schools.

Just wondering, with my stats as they are, how important are personal statements?

I wouldn't exactly skimp on your statements, but I think you could probably write "I don't feel like writing a personal statement" and still get into UCR with your stats.

As for the rest, just do your best. A bang-up job on your statements might help net you some good funding.

Sooo i'm getting really nervous for some reason..
The applicants to UCLA/UCB all have stats similar/better than mine so ECs will have more affect on if I get in or not right? So since mine aren't too great my chances of getting into either one aren't too high huh... ahhhh
