I had a HUGE upward trend, so im sure that helps.

My school is insanely hard.

-Around 60% of Class of 2011 got into Davis from our school.....

So yea please give me feedback.
I want to get into
.UC Davis
.UC San Diego
Hopefully
.UCLA
Will settle for
UC Irvine

Firstly, UCs won’t ask how much volunteer hours you did on the app. They just want to know how much time and what you did in an extracurricular.

Example:
Years You Did
_Fresh _Soph _Junior _Senior
Track&Field
Weeks/Yr: 11 Hrs/Week: 6
I am a 400 m sprinter

Secondly, I’m pretty sure you can get into all UCs. I got into UCSD with a 3.7 GPA, 1830 SAT, 790 US/640 Math. Just make sure your essay is excellently written from your heart.

Thirdly, if you do get into all UCs. Pick your poison between the top 3 (if you want to get into any of them) because Cal being ranked #1 by news sources isn’t #1 in all fields. Each UC is best in a certain field. UCSD seen as 3rd best is #1 in bio sciences (or just sciences in general as my older brother (Class of 09) put it. )

EDIT: “I had a HUGE upward trend, so im sure that helps.” You should write something about that in your essays.

Thanks Alot, this really helped me feel better :D

I got a question about the UC GPA. UCs did not add additional points to all honors classes. In my school, only AP classes could have extra points. So, I am not sure about Chem H, Spanish 4H, and Pre-Calc H. You should check it on UC Doorway to confirm it.

[University of California Doorways Home](http://www.ucop.edu/doorways/)

Also, some majors are harder to get in, especially engineering.

I do believe that you have fair chance to get into UCSD and UCLA. You need to write something that is impressive in your essay.

Uh oh, I made some major grammatical mistakes on my last post… xD

IMO, fair would be understatement if he wrote superb essays. I believe he has great chances because I was accepted into UCSD with much lower test scores. Berkeley, probably fair, but that will depend on the quality of his essays.

Bobby, your essays are very crucial to your application, especially for the top 3 UCs. They are what separates you from the other applicants, the ones who have the same or better records.

EDIT: BTW, UCs do not count PE. Don’t ever put it on your application.

Ok SO. that makes my 10th grade average as 3.1 …
So Capped average is 3.8
and uncapped is 3.885.
Does anyone know what UC is uncapped? besides UCLA and UCB.
I want to get into the medical field.
Will i still have a chance with my “new” gpa?

Only UCLA and UCB is uncapped. All other UC’s are capped.

I think you have a chance, but you need to write a good essay (personal statement).

You have already finished SAT I and II. You can start to write it in this summer. You have more advantages than the others like me. I still need to catch up with those scores.

Thanks a lot “ipajoneskk” :D:D:D Yea i am going to start next week.

I also know how to perform First Aid and CPR.
